Enrollment Process

We are a New Century High School, and therefore have a limited unscreened policy for student admission. Priority is given to students who attend informational meetings like the Open Houses or high school fairs; we do not select students based on their grades. We will be participating in the citywide high school application process. If you are interested in attending this school, please remember to put program code #Q76A on your high school application form.

Expectations

The Civic Leadership Academy is a community working together to ensure the growth and success of all our students. We believe that by making our expectations clear, everyone in our community has a common understanding of the beliefs and goals of the school. We are guided by our core values of Commitment to Learning, Commitment to Community, and Empowerment and our expectations reflect these values. They are:

  • Come to school on time.
  • Come to school prepared to learn.
  • Engage actively and appropriately.
  • Ask questions for clarity.
  • Share your learning with others.

II. COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY

  • Respect all members of our school community.
  • Meet or exceed the expectations of our community.
  • Contribute to the learning of others.
  • Contribute to the growth of our school and larger community.
  • Participate in school events and activities.

III. EMPOWERMENT

  • Own your actions.
  • Take responsibility and accept consequences for your actions.
  • Push your learning – View mistakes as learning opportunities.
  • Voice your opinion respectfully.
  • Take responsibility for your learning and development – Seek help from peers, teachers, and other school community members when needed.
